Hatch This is the first part of an adventure series where YOU determine the next step in the story. Led by a single black-clad figure, your team of five moves like wraiths between the trees. Since you entered the forest three hours ago, the only sounds you’ve heard are boots swishing through the underbrush and the occasional sound of a rifle shifting in someone’s hands. No animals. No birds. Not even a single bug. The air is stagnant and smells like decay. Everyone’s edgy. It hadn’t taken you long to decide this mission sucks.

Tree Last Friday when The Relic finale was published, the site stats jumped to an all-time high. To say I was surprised doesn't quite explain it well enough. And to those of you who were irritated at constantly losing the vote, I have a special treat: The Relic voting tree. Now you'll know what awaited you down the unchosen path.

colt 45 This is the finale of an adventure series where YOU determined the next step in the story. Read part one, part two, part three, part four, part five, and part six. Your eyes lock on the relic. You wonder if touching it might extend you the same protection and power that was granted to its metal container. On your hands and knees, you clamber over the broken debris toward the small, yellowed bone. As you snatch it, an electrifying jolt runs up your arm. Warmth spreads across your skin and blossoms in your chest. The pain of your wounds is immediately dulled. Clenching the relic tightly in your hand, you stand.

Ballot Box The vote between the gun and the relic wasn't that contentious -- unless you count all of the angry pro-gun comments I received on Twitter and in email. Hilarious. In the end, the votes stacked up like this: A (Go for the gun): 10
B (Go for the relic): 18
